"We had an amazing experience visiting Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon! The coach buses were incredibly comfortable and clean, and I especially appreciated their commitment to safety by providing two drivers who alternated driving to ensure proper rest. The drivers were knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely organized. Bathroom breaks were thoughtfully scheduled, and departure times were clearly communicated to ensure we arrived at all our reservations on time. Lunch was another pleasant surprise! Fresh, neatly packaged sandwiches with mayonnaise and mustard, chips, and Oreo cookies. Everything was clean and well prepared. The unlimited supply of cold bottled water was an unexpected and wonderful bonus! Considering the long travel day and multiple destinations, everything ran impressively smoothly. The entire experience was comfortable, enjoyable, and exceptionally well coordinated. I would absolutely book another tour with this company! Their attention to safety, comfort, and or"

Day-Trip Notes
Is a Day Trip from Las Vegas Worth It?
What 15 hours buys you, the costs that are easy to miss, and when to stay a night in Page instead.
Antelope Canyon is about 270 miles from Las Vegas, roughly four and a half hours each way by road, so a day trip is a long day: the tour on this page takes about 15 hours. In return you see two of the most photographed places in the Southwest without renting a car or booking a night in Page, and the Navajo permit and lunch are handled for you.

Is it worth it?
Yes, if your time is short and you don’t want to drive. The tour on this page is rated 4.7 out of 5 from 2,475 reviews, and costs $160 per person with lunch, Wi-Fi, admission to the canyon and Horseshoe Bend, and the Navajo Nation permit for the Canyon X, Lower and Upper options. (Checked in October 2026.)
If you can spare a night, staying in Page is the better trip: you get an unhurried canyon tour, a choice of times including the midday light, and Horseshoe Bend at sunset, without nine hours on a coach in one day.
The costs that are easy to miss
- Tips. Gratuities are not included. On the Grand Canyon sunrise version, the operator lists a mandatory guide tip of $30 or more per person.
- The national-park surcharge. That Grand Canyon version also notes that, since January 1, 2026, non-US residents aged 16 and over pay an additional $100 per person at certain US national parks, on top of the usual entrance fee. Antelope Canyon itself is on Navajo land, not in a national park, so the surcharge is mainly a question if you add the Grand Canyon; check the tour’s inclusions for your version.
- Lunch choices and pickup. The default lunch is a turkey sandwich and the default pickup is Treasure Island; ask straight after booking if you need something else.
- Big events. During the Formula 1 Las Vegas race week (November 18 to 22 this year), pickup and drop-off move to a limited set of hotels.

What to know about the canyon part
Every visit to Antelope Canyon is Navajo-guided, and the canyon rules apply on day trips too: no bags or backpacks in Lower Antelope Canyon, no tripods or selfie sticks. See the rules guide. Summer storms can close the canyon at short notice, which our weather guide explains. If you would rather base yourself in Page, the Lower Antelope Canyon tour and Antelope Canyon X are both short tours you can fit around Horseshoe Bend.

Antelope Canyon from Las Vegas: Questions Before You Book
Answers checked in October 2026.
Yes. Several operators run day trips by coach from the Las Vegas Strip to Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. The tour on this page takes about 15 hours, costs $160 per person and includes the canyon tour with a Navajo guide, the Navajo Nation permit, Horseshoe Bend, a boxed lunch and Wi-Fi on board (October 2026).
Page, the town next to Antelope Canyon, is about 270 miles from Las Vegas, roughly four and a half hours each way by road without long stops. That is why day trips last 15 hours or more.
If you only have a day and don't want to drive, yes: you see Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend with everything arranged. If you can spare a night, staying in Page gives you a calmer tour, a choice of canyon times including midday light, and Horseshoe Bend at sunset.
Yes. Antelope Canyon is on Navajo Nation land and every visit must be with an authorised Navajo-guided tour. A day trip from Las Vegas books that guided tour for you.
There is no single best one. For day trips from Las Vegas, compare what is included (the Navajo permit, lunch, which canyon), the length of the day, the cancellation window and recent reviews. The tour on this page has 4.7 out of 5 from 2,475 reviews and free cancellation up to 4 days before.
Spring and autumn are the most comfortable, with mild weather and fewer storms. Summer brings the strongest light beams but also heat and the monsoon season, from mid-June to the end of September, when storms can cancel tours. Winter is quiet and cool, with softer light.
Every visit needs a Navajo guide, and the Navajo Nation charges a park fee of $15 per person. From Las Vegas you also pay for about nine hours of driving. Tours from Page start around $75 with the permit included.
They are different trips. Zion is a national park with long hikes and big canyon views; Antelope Canyon is a short, guided walk through a narrow slot. From Las Vegas, Zion is closer, about a three-hour drive. Many visitors do both on a longer road trip.
